The ISSTT2018 Proceedings will be published in an online library at the NRAO ( There are two ways one can publish the results presented at the ISSTT2018 (see also a diagram below).

1)     Submit a full-length ~ 7-8 (10 max.) page paper to the ISSTT2018 Proceedings.

2)     Submit a short paper (3 pages) to ISSTT2018 Proceedings AND a full-length paper (7-8 pages) to the Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology (IEEE-TST) (log in, start New Submission and choose Special Issue Paper). General instructions for the ISSTT-TST are available at The IEEE-TST version requires new technical content which provides a more in-depth treatment or demonstrates results beyond the Symposium paper. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if the manuscript includes substantially new technical content beyond the Symposium paper; whether the past work including the Symposium paper is adequately referenced; and whether the new results are placed in proper context with respect to the prior work and existing state-of-the-art. The new technical content could include a more in-depth treatment, or results beyond the Symposium paper, and take advantage of the discussions generated at the Symposium, leading to possibly different results or interpretations. Unlike a Symposium paper that might present preliminary new results, a manuscript submitted to IEEE-TST for publication is expected to present more complete results. With the submission, please include a copy of your Symposium paper. Every paper will be reviewed by IEEE-TST in the same manner as all other regular submissions to this publication. The Special Issue is expected to be published in November 2018. All the instructions and submission procedure for IEEE-TST can be found on the journal website

The deadline for submission of ISSTT2018 Proceedings papers and IEEE-TST manuscripts has been extended to June 30, 2018.
